“To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; to earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends; to appreciate beauty, to find the best in others; to leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch or a redeemed social condition; to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded.”

Ralph Waldo Emerson

“I love working with people to help them get in touch with their life purpose, and at the same time to achieve their goals, whatever success looks like for them. I have found that one of the best ways to do this is by helping people to learn to embrace their uniqueness with all their heart, mind, body and soul. I am deeply committed to providing the tools and resources people need to live a wonderful life.”

I have spent the last 25 years working in Human Resources. Today I am a Human Resources Director in a Global Organization. Each day coaching opportunities arise. Sometimes it’s the supervisor who is not clear on how to reach an employee to motivate and inspire them to be at their best. Other times it is an employee that wants to expand their career, and does not know how to go about it. Sometimes it is an employee that has received feedback about how they interact in the workplace, and have heard their job is in jeopardy if they don’t make some changes. Sometimes it is dealing with mixed communications that throws a relationship into shambles, leaving one or the other confused, upset and angry. Sometimes it is a young mother or father that is having problems balancing work and home life. Other times it’s a team where the members can’t get along, that is, until they have a better understanding of each other. Each coaching situation is different, and requires patience and skill to encourage solutions from people who do want to make their lives better. Coaching involves listening, hearing, and helping others see a variety of solutions, and then to zero in on the one that they decide is best at the time. The reason I have stayed in Human Resources for so long, is that I have found that every person can be coached, and when someone takes the time to care and be compassionate, there is a solution for every situation.

I have also coached individuals and families outside of the workplace. I have coached people who have found their way back to speaking to an estranged parent, decided to purchase an investment property, start a business, put self-care back into their life, decided to take a once in a life time vacation, and coached families on how to set boundaries with teenagers, to mention a few coaching situations.

As for credentials, I have a Bachelor’s degree, an advanced mediation/negotiations certificate, adult education diploma, a nursing diploma, human resources certification, as well as coaching certification.

Throughout my life I’ve experienced highs and lows. This has helped me be a better coach. I’ve been a single mom, a mom going to work full time and attending night classes to take my career to the next level. I’ve made some interesting investments, unique job changes, written a few books, recorded audio-presentations and produced career enhancement videos. I also have children ages 16, 24 and 28.

I love to learn and grow, and challenge myself. I have been mentored and coached myself, and I continue to work with a coach, so that I can continue to grow, learn and reach for my goals. Coaching is my life work.

I’m constantly amazed at how many people say they want to experience more, reach for the next level, and make a difference in the world. This gives me energy, and connection to the universe.

As for hobbies, well, you could say I enjoy traveling. I’ve been to Mexico, the Caribbean Islands, Dominican Republic, Jamaica, India, France, Germany, Austria, Italy, Monaco, England, Ireland, Wales and Scotland. I have traveled extensively throughout North America. Reading is definitely a passion. I set a goal for myself at the start of the year to read 200 books – and I achieved the goal! I have taught classes at the professional human resources association, college and university. I am particularly drawn to self-help books and business books, and I attend as many seminars as time will allow. I have been taking bellydance classes for the past 2 years.

I look forward to working with you! Please contact me here.
